Similar stabbing events are also occurring in China. On August 8, 2023, Yunnan Province in southwest China witnessed a deadly knife attack.
“Two individuals lost their lives, and seven others are currently hospitalized due to a knife attack that occurred on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, in Yunnan Province,” stated local authorities.
In a statement released later that evening, the Luoping County police revealed that a 20-year-old youth with a history of mental health issues stabbed his mother with a knife at home before fleeing and subsequently attacking eight other individuals consecutively.
“Unfortunately, two among them could not be saved and passed away,” the statement continued.
